Hellboy

don't know why but I'm getting bored typing stuff up here in the blog. anyway...

Hellboy rocked. Can't say if this is one of the best comic book movie adaptations ever. Screw this,I'm bored. Hellboy was created by comic book writer and artist Mike Mignola and published by Dark Horse Comics. It's generally an indie comic meaning its not publsihed by either Marvel or DC.

Hellboy rocked and Selma Blaire is hot even without her fire-based powers. Hellboy is every bit as macho as your average guy with his love for cats to add to his cuteness which brings his cuteness to level 1. I was hoping Ray Park played Kronen, the nazi in the armor with the cool-as-hell bladed tonfas, but it wasn't. The guy who played him was too thin, Good job on the guy who played Kronen though. The monsters Hellboy was fighting is heavily Cthulu inspired with all those tentacles. The dissappearance of the monsters in the sky couldve used more imagination seeing as they just dissipated. Ron Pearlman is great as Hellboy, Lots of laughs and one-liners from him. The bad guys were underdeveloped. Period. People say the director, Guillermo Del Toro, was completely faithful to the comic. I can't say that as I havent read it. Also its good to see that make-up and prosthetics still make for good special effects for the characters. For those who want everything spoon-fed to them and have no imagination , don't bother with this movie. For those who want a fun ride and an enjoyable lead character, watch this movie. Either way this movie is another small step for the comic book industry, one giant step for geekdom.
