Hellboy

don't know why but I'm getting bored typing stuff up here in the blog. anyway...

Hellboy rocked. Can't say if this is one of the best comic book movie adaptations ever. Screw this,I'm bored. Hellboy was created by comic book writer and artist Mike Mignola and published by Dark Horse Comics. It's generally an indie comic meaning its not publsihed by either Marvel or DC.

Hellboy rocked and Selma Blaire is hot even without her fire-based powers. Hellboy is every bit as macho as your average guy with his love for cats to add to his cuteness which brings his cuteness to level 1. I was hoping Ray Park played Kronen, the nazi in the armor with the cool-as-hell bladed tonfas, but it wasn't. The guy who played him was too thin, Good job on the guy who played Kronen though. The monsters Hellboy was fighting is heavily Cthulu inspired with all those tentacles. The dissappearance of the monsters in the sky couldve used more imagination seeing as they just dissipated. Ron Pearlman is great as Hellboy, Lots of laughs and one-liners from him. The bad guys were underdeveloped. Period. People say the director, Guillermo Del Toro, was completely faithful to the comic. I can't say that as I havent read it. Also its good to see that make-up and prosthetics still make for good special effects for the characters. For those who want everything spoon-fed to them and have no imagination , don't bother with this movie. For those who want a fun ride and an enjoyable lead character, watch this movie. Either way this movie is another small step for the comic book industry, one giant step for geekdom.

Something old. Something new. Something borrowed...

Welcome to what may possibly the my shot at a weekly update on what happened to me. That includes my commentaries, unbelievably weird news, etc.

First up. My dog is a lesbian. That's the weirdest if not the funniest phrase you'll read in a while. Yes she is. She was humping another girl dog doggy style. (like they know the missionary or the wheel barrow or any other positions). She even beat her brother to who would have a girlfriend first. That's score one for the bitches out there.

I saw an episode of Secrets in the Discovery: Travel and Adventure channel a few days ago. It was cool since it showed the secrets of Edinburgh. Woohoo!. It even showed the Scotman's Lounge. The old hangout me my friend used to drink in. I miss those days. Seeing those sites, places, streets. street corners, the castle, the buildings kind of made me homesick.

Saw the episode of Smackdown before the enormously lousy draft. Shelton Benjamin kicked butt. He is good. Outwrestled Charlie Haas and some other guy I forgot who. Hardcole Holly I think. But I'm not sure. Hope he doesnt get screwed over by WWE.

And that's it. Its my shot at something like this. I'll see what happens with this format.

The World's Biggest Upset!

First things first, I can't wait to watch this episode when it gets here 1 month and a half from now. Big Congratulations to Shelton Benjamin for beating HHH in Raw this past Monday. I am a big fan of Benjamin. I loved his Tag Team with Charlie Haas as "The World's Greatest Tag Team". Breaking up the best heel tag team is a bad i dea. Breaking them up was a bad a idea period. But you gotta ask "What's next for them?". I look forward to Charlie Haas' solo career now. But the man of the hour is Shelton Benjamin. What's next for him? Personally I want him to succeed and win the World Heavyweight Championship, but win every single belt there is in the process. Thats a good year and a half right there.

I just can't help but think that he's getting screwed-over right this minute. Okay a win over HHH is a big thing. Its a huge deal. But I just can't help but feel he's being screwed-over. Might be the pessimist in me. Here's a list of possible screw-jobs which might be done to Shelton Benjamin:

1. One screw-over might be that and God i hope this doesnt happen, his old gimmick "It's all about the Benjamins" is brought back. That was just really, really awful.
2. Another screw-over might be he gets beaten cleanly like Booker T against HHH last year. In their feud. Booker was treated like hired help bordering on racism. Booker's a great wrestler but his mic skills failed him just before their big match.
3. Third possible screw-over might be WWE pushes him for a short period then abandon their plans. Then he's relagated to grunt status.
4. He gets a beat down from Evolution or because of HHH's rage, just from HHH. Then he goes down to grunt status. Going up as high as a mid-carder.
5. Another is WWE might be a racist organization and this is their way of saying that black men ain't gonna make it to the top. I love the shows. I love the entertainment. Sometimes I wish I was one of them. But if they are a racist organization, I'm out the door faster than Funaki jobbing on everyone of his matches.

The more I think about all this the more I wanna see Shelton Benjamin succeed. The WWE needs an African-American Champion. The last great African-American wrestler they had was Ahmed johnson. Goddamn! He had talent, he had mic skills, he had the build. Now he's nowhere to be seen. Sorry Booker, I ain't dissing you, Good luck in your career in Smackdown.

Congratulations to Shelton Benjamin again. Show them what you got. Good Luck to you and your wrestling career.
