Dinner after War of the Worlds
Watched War of the Worlds last night. It was a good movie. Its a chance to see spielberg be dark and horrifying. My buddy Mike said something about it reflecting the US post 9-11 but he'll get to that in his site at FlipCritic.net.
Spieldberg proved with this movie that he can menacing and horrifying and can scare us. Jaws scared the crap out of everybody. Made every white-colored pant in the theatre turn brown first time they heard that cello riff. I think the movie is a call for the arms race to move on to laser technology. I can already think of concepts and the potential of the technology not to mention some problems with it. But thats all based on my knowledge of Gundam and its technologies and armaments. Can't go wrong with Gundam. Except for Gundam Wing. Cripes! The sexual tension between those boys is disturbing like Jacko and his young boyfriend. Story for another time. and getting off-topic with the young boys bit.
Above is a pic of dinner at Chili's in Glorieta 1 after the movie. Jackie, Claire and Mike on one side. Guy in glasses is Sherwin, Jacky's date and another guy to promote Chappelle Show to. Sherwin's a fellow torrent downloader. Rock on man! Orson and I are only seen in the last picture but the waiter at Chili's did the half-press method fucked it up so its all blurry.
